Modification Kit
- High quality 3rd party product.
- Comes will all the necessary screw drivers,
wires and the switch.
- After the modification completed, you can
switch the console between USA or Japanese. On the USA mode the
menus are in English. On the Japanese mode, the menus are in
Japanese.
- You need to have some
soldering experience if you try to modify your console with this
kit. If you don't have the soldering skill, I suggest you buying
the modified G. Cube console.
- Please take your own risk
while modifying your console. We will not responsible on any
possible damages to your console.
- You will void your warranty
after you have modified your console.
Modifying
Procedure
- Unscrew the screws with the screw driver.
- Take out the plastic case.
- Carefully unscrew all the screws on the main
board.
- Take away the DVD Rom unit and the cooling
fan.
- You will see a large silver color heat sink.
Then unscrew all the rest of the screws.
- You can now take out the main board. Then use
some effort to pull out the heat sink from the main board.
- Then you will see the point R6 on the main
board.
- Follow the diagram
to solder the 2 wires on to the switch. (Connect either wire to
the center pin of the switch, the other wire connect to either
left or right pin of the switch)
- Finally, you should assemble all the parts
back into the right place and screw up the screws.
- You now have a USA / Japanese selectable console.
